The interim market continues to grow and become more diverse. Interim professionals are used for two reasons: either a person is needed on short notice to manage and maintain a key function temporarily, or special expertise is required for managing a development project for a specifi c period. The 2022 survey indicates that, in terms of their nature, interim assignments shifted noticeably towards development projects, which constituted 73.3% of all assignments (2021: 28.6%). Typically, interim professionals lend their strong competence to an organisation temporarily, leading it or a part of it in a new direction.

of diverse activities rather than committing to a single employment

Recruitment diffculties are increasing continuously due to the shortage
of competent professionals. For this reason, companies should shake up their operating methods and transition to using temporary expertise alongside permanent roles. Companies in many fields are transforming into contract platforms within which experts can operate based on various contract models. Satisfaction and recommendations are at a high level among those who have used the interim service.
